We go to the doc often to check D's weight gain and she always asks about his poop and I always says it's like patties, not super soft, but definitely not pellet-like. Well the pellets struck. Few days ago.
I took a screen-shot of @mrs.bee's toddler constipation guide. And I plan to add probiotic, and add'l high fiber foods, but D eats a lot of diary and fat to help weight gain. I'm worried about giving too much of it up and replacing it will low cal options. I'll definitely cut back a bit until this bout improves, but I need some long term suggestions if anyone has any.
I'm going to try dates and prunes to see if he likes them...they are calorie dense and good for contipation.
In a typical day, Dylan drink just 12oz of WCM with added Powdered WCM. I'm afraid adding much juice or eater will lower that intake, but I'm going to try. Then he eats 2-3 whole grain bread items with pb or cream cheese, a couple ounces of yogurt, a veggie or two with butter or oil, then pasta or egg or a meat and some fruit throughout the rest of the day.
