What's some foods/ purees to help ease constipation? It's not bad but his poopies are a little too hard and infrequent for comfort. We tried pear purees today and he HATES them!

Prunes, pears, plums, peas.DD had a rough go with constipation her first year. Our sure fire remedy was oatmeal with bran and ground flax seed. I always made it with whole milk and added prune puree and a little brown sugar.

A medicine dropper or 2 of prune juice works great! You can use the one from baby tylenol or whatever.

@Danizaur: he doesn't like pear?! I heard prune or pear is the best...if he doesn't like either on it's own can you try mixing pear with something else?

We used to put prunes and a little water in our food processor...she loved it! Helped a lot. And I found we had to really limit bananas and sweet potatoes.

@illumina: We sent some to his babysitters today and she said he kept gagging and pushing it out of his mouth! I couldn't believe it. I wanted to eat the whole batch when I made it. Mmm

I put a tsp of orange juice in DD's bottles with her milk - it keeps her regular!

We gave her prunes and apples from Gerber (it's mostly prunes) and she had a huge poop within a day or so.
