Currently for my son I burned a CD of whitenoise but it stops every 73 minutes and restarts..
Baby is coming SOON and am wondering what kinds of machines/apps offer CONTINUOUS white noise?
I know the marpac dohm is a popular one but we are hoping to spend as little $$ as possible, hahah.

I have this one, i like that it's small and portable. It goes all night (or on a timer if you prefer), can be plugged in or use batteries for travel and has several different noises. Best part is its cheap!!

We use apps. For the girls we use Baby Pillow. I use one called White Noise.

We use the same homedics one linked above. It's $20 at but buy baby or bed bath and beyond plus you can use a 20% off coupon. We just use the regular white noise sound (it also has ocean, rain forest...).
I admit we also got a marpac sign for our room when the new baby was born and I do like it a lot better but my toddler doesn't know the difference.

We have the same one as Ginabean3 and it has lasted is through two kids. Ours love the ocean sound. It's really cheap and totally worth it.

We were given a my baby sound spa and it's still working almost 4 years later! My parents have the Homedics one linked above and we like that one too.

When we travel we use an app but I prefer the machine because you don't have to worry about your phone making noises, etc.

I'm the minority, but I didn't like the dohm. I love our homedic sound spa -
I also use the white noise app with the pink icon; I found it has the strongest continuous white noise. The annoying thing with that tho is that it's a free version and won't run into the background. But buying the app that will run in the background is def super cheap too.

@snowjewelz: Same here, I got a Dohm and was unimpressed. Didn't go very loud considering that our neighborhood is under perpetual construction. Got the cheapie Homedics and we've been perfectly happy with it!

We use the Conair one and love it! It's about $20, and unlike our old one has an actual white noise setting (our old one I had to use rain or ocean).
