We have the Britax Marathon and happy with it, but we're flying to see the in-laws during Christmas and don't want to lug ours. So I'm planning to just get one that's less expensive and just leave it there since we visit about twice a year. Any recommendations?

I have tried a few different brands of carseats and none of the straps tighten and loosen as well as the Britax! -
For that kind of thing, we just got a cheap Costco one, it has high safety ratings for super cheap. It's nto the most cushiony seat, but for 2x a year you can't beat the price!
Edit: And it's super light.

Costco scenera is the one we got for Grammy's car. $39 at Walmart.

My post got lost!
Cosco Scenera is good an inexpensive, but difficult to install rear facing without a pool noodle. we use it on airplanes.
I also like the Graco My Ride, it's a seat comparable to the britax boulevard but about 1/3 the price.
