my blinker went out on my way home from running errands, it came back on, so i don't know if it was the front or the back & need to wait for it to go out again to have it replaced. i was trying to figure out how to get home only making right turns, haha! i knew how to change it on my last car, but after watching others struggle to replace lights on my current car, i won't even try!

I probably could if I looked on youtube first and then tried but I wouldnt try for fear of messing things up, I would just let DH do it

Yup-- I used to change the headlights on my old car all the time (when the blue-tinted "euro lights" were a thing).

DH has been blessed with paws rather than hands, lol, and the poor guy can't get his hand in where the bulb goes in my car, so he can't fix it for me either (somehow he can on his tiny POS corolla, but not on my pacifica, it's just a PITA fixture i think)
@Mrsbells: youtube is how i figured out how to do it on my old volvo! my dad tried to show me, but the youtube video is actually how i got through it.

Yep, can and have. It's kind of a PITA but I'd rather spend $3 and do it myself than waste time and money taking it to a mechanic.

No, I just take my car to the dealership and they do stuff like that for free (minus the $5 for whatever for the new bulb). I probably could figure out how to change it or do other minor repairs, but I have no desire to learn!

@mrs. bird: haha no, not under my car! but the headlights that were more ultra-white than the normal yellowish tint. I wasn't that bad, fortunately!

Yeah, I have. I google my manuals all the time. I have more patience than the DH to this kind of stuff.
My car needed a cabin filter replaced and the dealer was going to charge me $60. I googled it and it's a really easy fix. The filter cost me $14. Although, it's still sitting in my apartment. I should do it this weekend.

I'd look up a youtube video for my car make/model to see how hard it was. I have changed one in my old car, but when my husband's went out his were really complicated to change so we took it in.

My DH can but I have no idea. Next time one goes out he will probably show me. He likes for me to know how to do car maintenance.

I have but I seem to forget about how to do it every time. I am better at doing it than DH because my hands are small and fit better.

I've never tried, but have seen my brother in law do it, and it seemed pretty easy.
