I'd ease up on aquaphor if she puts her hands in her mouth. Try lansinoh nipple cream maybe?

If its puffy and maybe infected I would risk the neosporin maybe before bed so it's not likely to be in her mouth? Lanolin is a fantastic idea!!

@regberadaisy: I think polysporin is safe? I remember the LC said it was ok to use that on my nipples when they were cracked and I didn't have to wipe it off prior to nursing. But, I would try to get it looked at by a pediatrician or dermatologist if it stays around.

I had cracked fingers the last two weeks and holy crap did it hurt. I tried to avoid using neosporin because I am touching my infant all day, hands, toys, food etc. band aids didn't stay on. I finally tried my newmans APNO and it totally helped!!

I was also going to suggest Lansinoh! That stuff is great for cracked dry skin. I also put it under my nose and my LO's noses when they are red and raw from blowing into kleenex.
