DH's sweet aunt gifted us a 6 month "craft beer of the month club" for Christmas! Only "problem"- I'm 6 1/2 weeks pregnant! She doesn't know of course. We got the first shipment and they come room temp not chilled. Can I keep a few at room temp until August and they still be good? I've never had a good beer stick around more than a few days

My DH makes craft beer, and I know he sticks them in the fridge to stop carbonation. They stay in the fridge for a long time before we finish them off, so maybe store them in the fridge and enjoy later.

DH works for a brewery. He says yes, just keep it out of light and it should be good.

We live in craft beer central and my husband always keeps a ton in the garage until he's ready for it in the fridge. They should be fine but if you're worried, keep them somewhere cool.

I "cellar" some for a year or so at a time in my shoe rack in the closet- dark and cool and they taste great!

Also do you have a basement that is cooler? From the northeast so not exactly the same climate.

We were told at a brewery that it isn't so much the temperature as it is just keeping the temperature of it consistent. If that helps lol?

I think you should try to keep them cool, room temp would prob be okay but if you can spare room in the fridge I think it would be even better. Enjoy! I love craft beer!

@shellio: I live near Portland. I think Portland and Denver tend to fight it out for craft beer domination, lol. Either way, we're both very lucky to have lots of craft beer around.
