Just at the 21 week mark and I woke up at the butt crack of dawn to mild cramping pains that started late last night. It was on the left side and didn't feel like Braxton Hicks (not that I've felt those yet).
I also had a random morning this last week where I had a good half hour of tightening pain on my left side.
Anyone experience cramping during this part of your preg?

It could be round ligament pain. I had bad cramping, tightening pain on my left side through the second half of my pregnancy and my doctor said that's what it was. It was the bottom/side of my belly right at my hip bone.
Believe me, contractions are much, much different.

I also had this and just chalked it up to round ligament pain. I think the baby starts to really grow now, so it made sense to me that my uterus was growing too. But that's all in my non-medical opinion. After a day or 2 it went away.

I'm 20 weeks today and I've got the exact same thing going on on my left side at this very moment. I definitely think its just round ligament pain. I find it more annoying than concerning.

I had cramping a few days ago. The tightening sounds like BH.. Cramping possibly your uterus growing?

I had the same thing - my OB said either round ligament pain "and/or" growing pains. It was so uncomfortable. I was told to lay down on my side and drink water and rest for a bit. He said only to worry if they got worse, had bleeding, and/or didn't stop after awhile.

thanks all! i took some tylenol (as i felt a migraine coming on too) and have been running errands with lil to no discomfort today. must be the usual growing pains... oh the joys of pregnancy!
