I am currently 25 weeks and have been having menstrual like cramping off and on for about the last week and a half. It always lasts under an hour, occurs when I am tired and goes away when I rest for awhile. Yesterday, however, I felt like crud all day and by the evening my cramping was back only this time stronger and accompanied by a sense of downward pressure and achy limbs. I was really tired so I took a few tylenol and went to bed early. I slept relatively well until I woke up at 2 am to use the bathroom and realized the cramping had returned. When I couldnt get back to sleep due to the discomfort I broke down and called the nurses line. They advised me to take a warm bath and more tylenol and if it wasnt better in an hour to head to the hospital. So I dragged myself back out of bed and followed directions and by the time 45 minutes had passed I was feeling much better but not perfect. I went to work this morning (work at the clinic I get care at so knew they would be close by if anything felt off) and flipped all day between feeling good and cramping. None of this feels like contractions as it is a pretty constant ache and I have never noticed any muscle tightening. The doctor isnt overly worried but I am a little distressed by it, especially since good old google informs me that this is preterm labor and I am going to die (ok Im kidding about the last part but seriously! I should know better than to google my medical symptoms! It will only freak you out!) Anyone else had just plain old achy cramping at this point in their pregnancy and it was nothing? I need some reassurance because it is starting to bug me!
