Silly questions. I made cream cheese frosting tonight and I have almost half left. I will be making the recipe again Tuesday and need cream cheese frosting again Wednesday. To be consumed on Thursday. Tonight's should be OK till then if kept refrigerated, right? What if the frosting had to travel 7 hours in a cooler with me?

My totally unscientific opinion is that it'll be totally fine!

I would still eat / use it. If there was any left after I kept picking at it in the fridge...

It will be totally fine. Frosting lasts a super long time when refrigerated. You can even freeze it if you are worried. Just let it defrost slowly and give it a good whip before you need to use it.

As long as you haven't done something like licked the spoon then dipped it back in, you will be fine. All the ingriedients in that frosting last several weeks in the fridge.

It wouldn't be fine here, because I would dip graham crackers in it and eat it all haha!
Really, though, cream cheese stays good for a bit.
