Our pediatrician recommended that we buy a crib wedge for under LO's mattress since she's displaying a lot of GERD red flags. Does anyone have any good recommendations or ones that we should avoid? We'd like to get her out of the Rock N Play and into her crib or at least a Pack N Play for the night.

I put a few of my law textbooks under one end of the mattress per my peds suggestion. Same result!

We found that the angle of the Rock N Play was really best for DS. Most crib wedges don't incline enough. What about the RNP do you nor like? Is your LO too old for it? We used it with both kids until about 4 months.

@rattles: Lol. We have some pretty hefty textbooks around, so that could be done!
@MrsSRS: I like the RNP and LO definitely fits. The ped said it was okay to have her sleep there this morning. I think my issue is when I googled it before we started using it a few nights ago to see if it was safe, a bunch of sites popped up about how it wasn't and it was bad for her head and I kind of panicked. I'd also just like to get her into her crib and used to it sooner rather than later. The paternal side of my family all has severe GERD, so I'm guessing even if we transition her a bit later that we will still have to find one.
@Smurfette: Thanks! I think it's the same one that's on amazon. Is the incline sufficient?

@Hoots: yeah it worked for her. She was in the RnP and then the crib with it. But her reflux wasn't horrible.

@Hoots: That's reasonable, I understand. FWIW, thanks in part to tummy time and babywearing, the RNP wasn't an issue for my LOs' heads. And they slept much better in it as newborns than in the crib. But, I also second the textbooks idea. Or textbooks plus cheap wedge from BRU.

@Hoots: it sounds so cheap, but honestly, it worked, and it was handy when weaning her from the incline to just swap for smaller books then none.

My LO (3.5 months) has pretty bad reflux and still sleeps in the RnP. Would I prefer to have him in the crib? Sure, but it is what it is. We all need to sleep. His GI doctor even recommended just leaving him in the RnP for a while.
We've started to do some naps and try to transition to the crib. We have books under one side and a pillow under the mattress, which puts it at a pretty good angle.
He does have a little flat spot on his head from being in the RnP which worries me, but what are you going to do. Even in the RnP sometimes he wakes up throwing up so I can't lay him flat in the crib.
He'll get to the crib eventually!

@MrsADS: Yeah, I was more worried about all the websites that said not to do it for suffocation reasons. After talking to the ped. and her suggesting it, I'm definitely okay with the RNP for a bit. She's thrown up a couple of times when flat and has had trouble clearing her airway, so we're definitely going to have to figure something out crib wise.

@Hoots yeah we have the same issue. Obviously the safest place for the baby to sleep is flat on his back in an empty crib. But for my baby (and yours too), I feel like his risk of aspirating/choking is significantly higher than his risk of SIDS/suffocation in the RnP. It sucks to have to think about it though. Hope your LO gets the reflux under control soon!

We used the R&P for the first few months for exactly those reasons, but used this from Babies R us when it was time to switch to the crib.

I found that it stayed in place well but the incline wasn't much so I added a folded blanket on top of the wedge, under the mattress, which worked well for us.

My DD is also showing signs of strong reflux so right now I'm keeping her upright for at least 20 minutes after feeding (since she eats every couple hours it makes it feel like we spend so much time on the feeding protocol though). She is sleeping in a co-sleeper sidecar which attached to the bed so I'm thinking moving her to the crib with books propping it up may be the next move. DS had horrible reflux and slept in the RNP (which resulted in a flat head and helmet therapy which was not crazy successful, plus it took RNP weaning to get him to sleep flat afterwards) so I'm very cautious about going that route again.

@Hoots: We kept our little guy in the RnP as long as possible, but when we had to move him out of the RnP when he could roll over whenever he needs the elevation we shove towels under the legs of the crib. ( I saw books from PPs as well, but we found towels easier). That way you are not compromising the integrity of the crib (and when they get older its not a shorter side for them to try and climb out) but you get the incline. He's almost 21 months and we still do it whenever her has a cough or cold.
