Looking down at my belly today, I had to laugh. My belly button is randomly sideways. It totally looks to the right. I know it's because LO is firmly snuggled on my left side, but it still made me chuckle. Still an innie though.

My belly totally slopes to the right! I can't think of anything funny from today, but last night I attempted to lay on my almost 30 weeks along stomach and that was slightly comical...

Have you ever tried to put on panty hose/tights when pregnant? 100% comical.

@coacheswife123: I wore non-pregnancy tights on Sunday and they fit! But I had to keep the waistband below my bump and it cut into my hips a little. I wear them so little that it seemed silly to buy maternity tights. (I live in TX where it's rarely cold, though)

@tororojo: I bought some assetts maternity tights from motherhood! They were 18.00 but go ALL the way over the bump.. They look ridiculous! I've only worn them a couple of times but they are VERY comfortable. No way I could get into my pre-preg tights right now!!!

@coacheswife123: those tights are super comfy. I'm going to wear them to work tomorrow i think. which makes the third time i wore them, worth the $18.

@coacheswife123: Comical and painful! The last time I tried to wear tights I put them on, stood up and told DH "This is so not happening!"
ETA: They weren't maternity tights.

@MaisyMay: I've been wearing low wedges to work and tried on some regular heels the other day! put them on, said "nope", and grabbed my wedges again. haha!

@coacheswife123: It's amazing how quickly we can realize something is a no-go! I was at an event 2 weeks ago, listening to a few of the women helping with clean-up as they complained about wearing their heels, and I was smugly comfy in my ballet flats.

@MaisyMay: I bought heels (in my "new shoe size") for my baby shower and wore them for approximately 5 minutes. No go! Went barefoot the rest of the time.

@ladyfingers: I have a pair of very light LA Gear black slip on sneakers that I bought at Marshall's for about $20 that I pretty much live in. They are sufficient for church if I'm wearing jeans or khakis, work, just out doing errands, etc. They have a full back so they won't fall off, and each show is incredibly light so my feet never feel heavy. Probably my best "investment" this pregnancy.

@MaisyMay: I only ever wear sneakers for our 15-minute walk after dinner, so I just continue to struggle because I refuse to buy anything else at this point!

@ladyfingers: Do you have your SO help you? The other night my belly was hurting but my feet were cold. DH came into the bedroom and asked me what was bothering me. When I explained he put my socks on for me. That was pretty sweet of him.

@ladyfingers: Friday night, we had DH's work Christmas party. It was so crowded and not enough seats. We sat for maybe 20 mins to eat, then was standing for the other 3 hours. I wore wedges, maybe 2 1/2 inches but my feet felt like I had been in 4 in heels all night. I have never been so happy to sit in my car and drive home.

@MaisyMay: lol yes but it made me feel so stupid and helpless that I just do it myself. I'm so full of pride it sucks.
@Smurfette: Yeah all I've worn the entire time pretty much is flip flops. Thank God for a casual work dress code! Now, my feet are starting to get the flip flop indentations on them by the end of the day. Ahhhh...

@ladyfingers: I keep flip flops at my desk so when I am just sitting put those on. Then I just put my regular shoes on when I get up. I think that I am going to have to bite the bullet and get a couple pairs of pants hemmed, so I can wear flats from here on out.

@ladyfingers: It's only happened once, and I'm 38 weeks, so I didn't mind too much. My pride comes up on other issues though, so I get it!
@Smurfette: You could try iron-on hem tape so that you don't have to actually cut your pants.

@MaisyMay: I particularly (and others as well) enjoy when I drop stuff (which is, like, always) and then insist on picking it up myself, even though "bending over" is more like "squatting and grunting." I'm waiting for the day I fall on my butt.

A couple hours ago at work my best friend walked up to me. She saw my facial expression and asked whats wrong. I looked down at my belly. LO was REALLY moving, you could see the buldge where she was pushing with her hand....my best friend "high fived" her. LO just had her first high five.

@ladyfingers: I know the "Squat and Grunt" quite well.
@Mrsbells: Every so often when I'm laying down I have a "cone belly" thing going on. It looks like LO is just pushing out right in the middle, giving me a very odd shape.
