OMG. I am 10+ weeks pregnant, and while I"m not really showing yet, I'm insanely bloated so it sometimes looks like I have a little bit of a belly on me. Last week, one of my coworkers (an older woman, 77) asked another coworker if I was pregnant because she'd noticed a bump. My other coworker (who is a very close friend and does know that I am) told her she had no idea. Today, the 77-year-old walks up to me after a meeting and starts playing with my belly and asking me if I'm pregnant! She's rubbing all over, playing with my shirt, telling me that I've been wearing loose-fitting and empire-waisted shirts and dresses lately (which, ps, I ALWAYS do in the summer because they are much more comfortable for my near-mile walk to and from the hospital). Meanwhile, my 2 bosses and another coworker are standing there. And I've got my belly band on, so it feels like my pants are up to my belly button. I just laughed and reminded her that I always wear loose-fitting stuff in the summer. I then reminded her that she noticed a "baby bump" 3 weeks after my honeymoon, when I was decidedly NOT pregnant.

But seriously?! Seriously. You're going to stand there and feel all over my stomach and ask me if I'm pregnant in front of 3 other people?! What is wrong with you??? I'm surprised she didn't pull my shirt up! I was so mad.

I know we've had a lot of rants on here about this, but I was just really infuriated by this. Why do people lose all sense of courtesy and personal space when it comes to pregnancy?? Like suddenly my body is their personal play space? And the state of my uterus is acceptable fodder for conversation? C'mon!
