A good friend of mine is really into Crossfit, and has been encouraging me to join. It's up my alley in so many ways, so I've been really interested. But I read that Crossfit athletes have a high rate of injury, so I thought I'd wait until I had learned more.

Recently though, my friend had a very serious back injury while doing Crossfit and can no longer work out at all. I'm hoping he can make a full recovery so that he can do normal things, if not work out hard again. His whole experience has made me nervous about Crossfit though.

I was wondering what everyone's experience with Crossfit has been. Have you guys noticed a high rate of injuries in your gym? I think I'd really love it, but am nervous about the potential risk. Any advice would be appreciated!
