Do you have crown molding, if so do you have it in every room in the house? I like crown molding but dont want to pay to have it in every room especially since it wont be notice in some rooms. For instance the family room has really high ceilings so the crown molding is not at eye level. I specifically want to have it in the dinning room but I wonder if its weird to have it in just one room. I've always seen it in the whole house or not at all

I don't think it has to go in every room. I would put it in your more formal rooms (dining room, formal living room). We have it in our living room and bedroom only.

@Mrsbells: We have it just on our first floor - it's not up the stairs or on our second level at all.
I've seen it done just in dining rooms, i think it's fine.

Ours has it in the living room/dining room and no where else.

It's fine. We did it in a couple rooms at our old house but not the whole house. Our current house has crown and picture molding in the bedrooms, living room and dining room, just crown in the kitchen and nothing in the hallways and bathrooms.

We have it in the front living room and dining room. Eventually I'd like to add it to most rooms, but it will be whenever I can get to it.
