Do/did you have a LO that vomits when they get upset? LO 3 is like this and pukes if she cries for a few minutes. I try to avoid having her cry a lot but it is hard with two other kids!
Did your LO "grow out" of this?

I don't know if they outgrow it, but my DS does this sometimes! Its awful. Just commiserating.

This is DS!! That's why we couldn't sleep train him because every time he cried, he puked. 4 bed sheet changes and 4 baths MOTN while still having to wake up at 6am to go work wasn't working for us. At all.
He's currently 2.5 and if he cries hard enough, he will. Sigh.

When dd was smaller and got too worked up shed choke and puke. I have no advice, it drove me NUTS because I can't handle puke, but thankfully that was when she wasn't on too many solids yet (1 yo, didn't switch off purees til a little after that)

I laughed a little at your title (sorry!). I sympathize, because I have a puker (every time she coughs too hard, or gets a fever >102, or is in the car for more than 20 min, etc.). I think the one thing she can do without puking is cry. She's 2.5 and over the past few months, she seems to be getting a little better. Granted, she apparently threw up on my dad recently simply because she drank too much water too quickly (who does that?), but I'm optimistic.

Yeah, E is a cry-puker. Its why we gave up sleep training. Tonight, she cried so hard she puked a little bit.
Mind you, I'm a cry-puker too.... the only difference is, I don't get that worked up as a grown up (except bereavement, PPD etc) so I don't do it often. So I guess you don't grow out of it, you just grow out of getting that upset regularly.

@Alivoo01: @Cherrybee: how is your lo's sleep now?
LO 3 is 7 months old and STTN 1-2 times a week but is all over the place the rest of the time. I don't think I can do a cio sleep train with her so I better wait it out or find a no/less crying method. Ahh, I hate puke!

Mine is and it's terrible! The car was almost impossible for months (like just about 12 of them) and no sleep training at our house. She has two cries though I guess, a normal, I'm grumpy version which is more like fussing and then there's "fix it in thirty seconds or less... or else."

@autumnlove: It's still hit and miss. If he's teething or having a growth spurt, he wakes up more often than flipping newborn. Oof! Then, there's nights where he just sleeps well and only wakes up once or so. We also co-sleep though.

@autumnlove: She's over 2.5 and still not STTN consistently. On a good week, she sleeps through 4 times a week and wakes once per night the other 3. If she's sick, teething or unsettled - which is allllll the time - she wakes several times per night. She goes to sleep independently, but cant seem to self soothe back to sleep. I'm sure CIO would have been the solution but, yeah, cry-puking.

DD1 is almost 4 and she has done this when she was 2 -3 but hasn't done it in a while. It would usually be if she was extremely upset, crying to the point of exhaustion - or if she had fallen and hurt herself and couldn't calm down. She would always burst capillaries in her face from the exertion of the vomit and have little red spots on her cheeks/eyes for days.
