C's 1st birthday party was this weekend! It actually turned out wonderfully. We did homemade Italian food (including some amazing cannolis!)) and a rustic-y, vinatge, "burlap and lace" theme. We incorporated a doljabi (spoiler: she picked the computer mouse)
