Seriously. I'm at a loss. I have a month to pull together a birthday party for my two year old son. That's plenty of time so I should be able to figure this all out... right?

We'll be having the party at our house. It'll mostly be friends and family, low key. I'll probably bake cupcakes and we'll order some food from Publix or something. A party platter.

I think what troubles me is getting the theme across. I know you can start by doing the invitations in the theme - we're going to be doing Daniel Tiger and I'll probably purchase them from Etsy, print through Vistaprint. But I have the living room, dining room, and probably the birthday boy's room to decorate.

(Why his bedroom? Because he runs back and forth all the time so he'll probably end up back there with some guests at some point)

I can turn the sideboard into the buffet of sorts and decorate above and around it. I can decorate the mantel (which is the focus of the living room) with pictures and Daniel Tiger decorations. I can do paper chains or print/make pennants to hang.

But what about our table (which seats six)? And what colors should I focus on? I know red will probably be the main thing. But should I play with patterns?

I guess I'm asking for ideas. The Daniel Tiger stuff is available for printing off the PBS Parents website so I can get some of the 'theme' decorations for little to nothing. I just want to make it look colorful and good and I'm at a loss since I never do birthday parties.

HEEEEELP!
