I've decided I want to master some new cooking skills over the next year or two, and so I am creating a "culinary bucket list".
It's a list of culinary skills I either want to learn or improve.
- Master the skill of homemade pasta and ravioli
- Learn to make ricotta cheese
- Start a sourdough starter
- Master the perfect risotto
- Learn to make mozzarella cheese
- Master the five mother sauces of french cuisine
- Start making bone broth and integrating it into our meals
- Improve my knife skills (they are good, but they could be a lot better)
- Master the perfect pie crust
- Hone my barista skills and become the queen of coffee
- Start always making tortillas/pita bread/naan/taco shells from scratch and stop buying them
What other cooking skills should I add to my list? What skills would you like to perfect?
But it's also a long, tool-intensive process. I am not exaggerating when I say the results are AMAZING. If I didn't have a 2yo to keep happy, I'd join him in this project in a heartbeat. Worth looking into!
