I have issues with shoes in the winter. I live in Ohio so it is cold and wet/snowy in the winter and I hate having cold feet. But I also hate tennis shoes. A lot. So I just wear cute flats all the time and suffer.
Is there some category of shoes I am forgetting about that are cute and can be worn with socks? No tennis shoes (they make me feel like a soccer mom), no boots (fat calves), and for the love of god no uggs (I just… I can't lol).
Am I missing something?

Well...I live in Vermont. So...snowy winters. I wear sorel boots, with wool socks, usually. But if it's going to be not that snowy/cold I will wear dansko clogs or naot Mary Janes.
But. I have no fashion sense or shame about wearing middle aged lady shoes.
If we are going to someone's house I bring slippers.

@Silva: I think I'm just picky. I wouldn't wear socks with mary janes because they would show. And clogs just remind me of my mom so I can't do it haha. I feel like there is no solution to this problem that I"ll be happy with.

@Silva: Understandable! We don't get THAT much snow in this area of Ohio. I do have (ugly imo) snow boots I wear when I'm going to be trudging through lots of snow. But mostly it's must an inch or two through parking lots. Moisture isn't such an issue as cold!

I have the same problem. I can't figure it out either. Come real winter I will be wearing snow boots but until then, I want something almost as comfortable as sneakers but more stylish.
I do have boots that I like that I wear when I go out but on a regular day with the baby I walk miles. Sneakers it is. Hello soccer mom.

I wear Dansko mary janes with wool socks with bootcut or trouser or flare pants or jeans. Do you like oxfords? Modern (contemporary) oxfords can be great. Vintage shoe company or shopbop... It might sound out there but I also like footprints- the closed shoes by birkenstock.

I loved my clogs for a quick slip on.
What about cow boy boots? They are meant to not be fitted on the calf.
