What is the number one reason why you save the most when grocery shopping?

For me, I think it's buying meat in bulk at our local meat market. I can get meat (porkloins, ham, bacon, sausage, steaks, brisket) to last a good 6 months for around $125-$150. The only thing I don't buy there is my beef and frozen chicken, which I prefer to buy at Sam's Club. We do have meatless meals a few times per week, or eat things like chicken strips/nuggets which I do not count in our bulk meat purchase. So I rarely buy meat when grocery shopping, which helps.

The second biggest saver for us I think is choosing store brand over name brand, unless the name brand is cheaper. With grocery costs going up and up I'm always brainstorming ways to save a few bucks!
