This happened in the Houston area, but my local news station ran the story today. So scary, but so incredible. I can't even imagine!

I saw that yesterday. He should have believed her and stopped at a closer hospital!

@Leialou: I know! This was her third kid and she's a birthing instructor - I think she knows!

I started crying during the censored birth part. That's nuts!

Its crazy~!
I'm wondering who he is talking to (OB?) when they pull into the hospital?
I would think I would have been on the phone with the ER letting them know to be waiting at the door not with an after hours call service for an office!

@swedishfish: @MrsScottish: @photojane: I sobbed during parts of that video. I think it's the fact that I'm over due combined with the fact that I was in transition and had to transport to the hospital with DS and it was horrific.
That was incredibly intense! That poor woman. I felt like her husband really wasn't believing her and I was so irritated by that!! Haha.

Oh man I can't wait to watch this video later. My mom actually wanted me to deliver at that hospital, but it's 45 minutes from our house so we didn't. It's an amazing hospital so I can see why it's so appealing, though!

Holy cow! I was shaking and crying through the whole thing!!

@lawbee11: It is a very cool hospital. My first baby I delivered at Woman's hospital. But my insurance changed and I had to switch OB's. I'm excited that the next one (fingers crossed) will be delivered there!

@coopsmama: I totally SOBBED, haha!
Maybe I shouldn't have watched this when I'm due in a week?!

Also did anyone else think she was pretty calm for being in transition and pushing? I feel like I sounded worse than that when I was only 4 cm!

@HLK208: Right?! That made me look forward to all the "fun" of labor

@travellingbee: no, that made me open my eyes really big and my husband said, "maybe you should have the section....."

I also got teary when I saw this and also thought I would be so upset with my DH if he did that! I don't want my labor making the news!!!

@Mrs. M: omg i'd be so mad too!!

Oh man... that really stressed me out! I should not watch stuff like this when I am already worried about traffic and not knowing I'm in labor!

@travellingbee: that's my hospital and OB group as well! I delivered there last July and it was amazing. I went in for induction so definitely no where near as tramatic as this birth. The hospital is awesome and the nurses and doctors were all great!!
@lawbee11: You totally made the right call to be closer to your hospital! We only live 10 min away from here so it was the best for us, but watching the video it's crazy how far away they must have been! Maybe 45 min or more! When he says "we are at the beltway and almost close" I was like umm no, not at all.
@T.H.O.U.: I agree, he should have called 911 and had them waiting outside the hospital. The husband is the video definitely made me mad, for not believing his wife sooner and not have the hospital personnel already waiting when they pulled up!

@HTownMom: That or he should have pulled up to the ER/ambulance area rather than the front doors!
