If one more freaking person (including DH) tells me DD is spoiled I'm going to lose it. She's 5.5 months old! When she cries, I go to her. When she "complains" I talk with her, if it persists, I move her to a different play area/redirect her at least twice before I decide she wants to be held. If your verbal child came up to you & said "Mommy, will you play/cuddle with me?" You wouldn't tell them "no, you need to hush." Why would I do that to my non-verbal child?!? She can't do things for herself, it's my job to do them for her, I don't see how I'm spoiling her.
