How big of a data plan do you have?
How often do you hang out online/use apps?

the smallest one--2GB. i use it a lot out and about but I do NOT stream music or movies because our signals often aren't strong enough for that. I've never gone over. Husband and I share the 2 GB. Mainly I email pictures, or check out different apps.

We are grandfathered in with unlimited data plans. Verizon got rid of these so we can't ever sign a new contract or we'll lose it. We both use a ton of data, especially Wagon Sr. -- he streams music from his computer to his phone. I watch a lot of Netflix on my phone.

Do you often go over? I started going over before I realized I could turn on my wi-fi and now I never go over. If you have wi-fi at home and work that you can use, you don't need a lot of data. -
Thanks ladies. I talked it over with my husband this morning, and it looks like I can get an iphone 4 for really cheap, plus the data plan would be less than $20 a month, and we do have wifi at home, so I think we might be going for it.
I think what sold him were the words "contraction timer" and "chart baby's info, like poop, sleep, and eating."

How often do you hang out online/use apps? Not much during the day. When I'm at home, I use our home's wi-fi connection. I rarely if ever stream music in the car because the 3G connection isn't strong enough. I check Facebook and email frequently throughout the day. App use, a fair amount.
