Did anyone else with a DaVinci Jenny Lind crib from Target get an email today about a voluntary recall?

Apparently there have been 10 reports of malfunctions - but no injuries of any kind. Is this something to be concerned about?

They are offering "everything you need to upgrade your crib and make it safer" free of charge so I will of course call them. They are saying to discontinue using the crib immediately though - is that really necessary when no one has been hurt? Just wondering how urgent/extreme this is...?

I got that email from Walmart about our Jenny Lind last week. I ordered the replacement but it isn't in yet and I haven't stopped using it. I don't know if that makes me a bad mom but I have nowhere else to put her! Hopefully the kit is in in the next few days.

@autumnlove: Are you going to discontinue using your crib until you get it? I'm thinking I am not going to worry about it...

@Charm54: I don't think it makes you a bad mom! I'm basically checking with HB to make sure it doesn't make ME a bad mom to do exactly the same

@daniellemybelle: it is in the nursery for soon to be born baby 3 so not in use right now. I would prob still use it for a few days if LO 2 was still sleeping in it.

I just got am email from amazon about this and I think ours is affected, I need to find the serial number of it. Does anyone know if it is on the crib itself? I have no idea where the papers for it are since we moved...

No plans on an alternative sleeping place for DD.

We were actually moving DS to his new room tonight, so we will order the kit, which I hope will get here before the baby does!!

Go to cpsv.com and check on the details of the recall. I have a jenny Lind crib made during the affected time period but our serial number was not recalled. If your kid is 1.5 or older they're probably ok without fixing the crib but I'd definitely request the new piece if you have young ones in it. Only 10 people have had a problem out of how many that have bought one.

I got it from Amazon, but ours wasn't one of the recalled models. It's scary though!

@marionberry: I know - it seems like it may not be that big of an issue... but we plan to use this crib again so we will definitely get the kit. I need to make sure our model was actually affected. The crib is in our new house which we aren't moving into until Monday but I can have DH go over and check.
