i'm not sure if we could do that, but maybe you could just create a private google doc and share it on there?

@Ali: You guys are all moving to Facebook?

One person could set up the Facebook group & post the link on the group page, and just have the group set to private. Then the creator/admin would just have to approve people.

I didn't realize some month groups had FB groups set up. What for?

@zippylef: Yup, I've seen that happen too!

The hardest part with private Facebook groups is that there is almost always a problem (Facebook members end up discussing other board members privately in a less than flattering way, or someone will publicly post a screenshot of a private group discussion) and then people will ask us to police the Facebook groups. But we have no control over Facebook and often don't even have access to the groups, so there's not much we can do.

And for reasons that I don't fully understand, people tend to behave less well on Facebook than they do here on our site? Maybe it's because it's a private forum; I dunno. In the end, the drama tends to spill over, and it ends up causing everyone on the site to trust each other less.

@Ali: It would be a bummer for me if we built up due date communities, and then everyone switched over to a private Facebook group! Are there specific features you'd like for us to build here on Hellobee to better support due date groups? Please let me know!

@Thehistoryofus: The new Apple iOS6 coming out tomorrow should allow picture uploading right from inside the Safari browser... would that help make uploads easier?

@mrbee: the one thing that I can think to add would be a sticky on the first page of due dates/gender/location. Our January board is getting pretty long and it would be nice to have some "facts" be easily accessible, rather than scrolling through 20+ pages. That's pretty much all we have on the google doc...other than IRL first names, which there is probably not a work around for.

Like @Ali I wish there was an area of the boards that was more private - say for users with over 50 posts or something. Another community I belong to has this.

I constantly worry that someone will "discover" me on here. I've only posted one picture because of this. Specifically Work-People. I'm sure they can check my productivity logs (yes we have those) but I'd like to be able to discuss specific work issues or issues with my significant other without them being able to read the posts.

@pastemoo: a lot of us are on instagram where it's all baby photos almost all the time! Are you.on there??

@winniebee: I feel the same as you. Thankful that the WB spring babies mostly all migrated here and that the May babies thread is so awesome and active!
