My friend makes a milky way cookie bar recipe I will get the recipe to. I think it's just spread cookie dough in a pan, chop milky way bars on top, then bake. It would hold up in the car!

@Mamaof2: oh duh. Sorry, my mind is mush today.
Pie is always delicious.

Some type of bar would be good - like those ones with all the stuff - coconut, nuts, chocolate chips. Yum.
Lemon bars would also do well if you can keep them relatively cool (put an ice pack in your car?).

I like the idea of lemon bars or bar cookies, or you could do something like a shortcake dessert, and put the fruit on ice for the travel and assemble there...

@blackbird: Normally, your posts make me at least briefly contemplate working out, but this one just makes me want to roll in a giant pan of those. Yum.

I was also thinking some cookies, maybe even a whoopie pie/cookie sandwich thing

I take grocery store sugar cookie dough mix and use it to make sugar cookie covered oreos. I mix golden and regular oreos and cover them with the sugar cookie mix. I roll them around in nonpareils and then back them like normal. So good. And they're so pretty and colorful. Plus who doesn't love a good sugar cookie + oreo??

@Mamaof2: I was going to suggest tollhouse pie (basically a chocolate chip cookie pie) or lemon bars. Both have been suggested it seems.
How about Pound Cake with strawberries? I generally cut up my strawberries and let them sit in sugar for a few hours anyways before serving over pound cake. I would think in a container on the floor by the A/C would be totally fine!
