We will soon be transitioning DS to a twin bed and recall fellow Bees mentioning a device the keeps a door ajar. What on earth is it called? I don't know why, but I thought it was called a door squirrel and this is what my search results keep turning up.

Just fyi we tried this with my toddler and she HATED it. She just stood at the door and screamed through the crack. Now we just have a knob cover on the inside of her door

I also got a door monkey and it failed- for use our door jams weren’t the right depth so the hook part wouldn’t latch and hold the door in place- and this happened in two different homes with very different doors and everything. But it does still keep the door from slamming and pinching fingers.

We had these to prevent pinching and use door handle covers when we want to keep LO in (like after we heard from our overnight guests that he paid them a visit at 3am).
