I'm only 31 weeks but I talked to my doctor today about her doing a membrane sweep later in my prenancy. My OBGYN does not want me to go more then a few days past due. She said if I don't go naturally at 39 weeks we will schedule an induction. She will try a membrane sweep at 39 weeks before inducing me at 40. Did a membrane sweep work for you? I had it done with DS but I ended up falling and being induced so I'm not sure if it would have worked or not.

I had two membrane sweeps, and it didn't help either time. Good luck!

I had my membranes swept in the morning and went into labor that evening. I was already two days overdue though, so who knows

I always attributed my first labor to having my membranes swept, and then my second baby came at exactly the same time, with an almost identical birth experience, so now I'm not so sure...

Nope. I had it done twice. I ended up being induced.

I had it done at my 39 week appointment when I was already 3 cm dilated. I went into labor 3 days later, but I'm guessing I would have had my baby that day anyways.

Two membrane sweeps and nothing happened for me.
