I was expecting Obama to win, but I thought I was going to be up all night biting my nails and waiting for the results. I was shocked that Obama was declared the winner so early on in the evening! Did you think the election was going to be closer than it was?

I thought Romney would win at least a few of the swing states . So yeah I also thought it might be closer than it was

The limited amount of time I paid attention to this, I said that with a returning president like Obama, poll results will be skewed, and he will win in less tight of a race than polls made it out to be. I don't know why, just feel like less people respond in those polls and it seemed pretty obvious he would get in again and I just didn't think it was going to be as close as they were calling!
....I'm Canadian and tried to pay attention as little as possible....which is nearly impossible as I think the US election gets more news time over a Canadian one

Yes! I went to bed and told dh to wake me up when he knew who the president was. He walked in the room five minutes later and told me. I didn't believe him!

Nope. I think Romney's campaign tanked itself between slips of the tongue and not actually giving specifics of their economic plan. But I'm happy I was right and it wasn't close!
