How did you do it? Did you wear your baby? Did they sleep much while you were out? Did you breastfeed in public?
We are going to the fair today and just trying to figure out the logistics since it will be an ALL DAY affair.

Nope, but I go out all day frequently (zoo, museums, parks, baseball game!). I have learned to nurse in my baby carrier but used to just find a relatively quieter place and nurse without a cover. I would tuck a receiving blanket or burp cloth "just so" to hide some of the extra boob and just not worry about an accidental flash.
I let him fall asleep from the motion of being carried (or pushed in a stroller). I also find he sleeps better the night after we do a full day of fun things.

I did take my kids to a fair this summer. DD was 6 months. Se did fall asleep in the stroller while her brothers were riding rides and I did nurse her in public. To be honest it was super hot and I didn't use a cover I just wore a shirt that I could pull down rather than have the pull up my whole shirt. Then people could barely tell I was nursing

We thought about it yesterday but it was too crowded to take DS. I was going to wear DD though and breastfeed with my cover if there were benches around.

We took Sawyer to the Calgary Stampede in July (it is a fair on crack, speed and mushrooms). We actually used the stroller, because it was hot out and Sawyer HATES being worn when it is too warm. Also, having the stroller basket rocked for hitting the trade show and buying lots of fun stuff. We found a cool spot to nurse (just with the cover), and he napped in the stroller with a blanket overtop.

We went to a fair when LO was just over 4 weeks old. She slept in the stroller most of the time; and having the stroller was great for carrying crafts and books I bought (it also carried the diaper bag, which was nice!). We bottle-feed, so can't help there.

There was no way I would have braved it because Cobi doesn't sleep in public, especially places where there is a lot going on. He doesn't like his carseat, he can only take so much of the stroller and it would have been so hot and uncomfortable having him in a carrier ALL day. Plus our fair is the end of August/early Sept so it's HOT HOT HOT.
Yeah, not worth it to me.
But I know Willa is more easy going when it comes to naps and going out. Cobi isn't. He's a GREAT baby but loves his schedule.

We went to the strawberry festival with my LO when she was a baby. We took her in the stroller and she napped pretty well. It was fun! When she napped we just walked around and looked at things, there was plenty to do and see while she slept.

Our state Fair is in October and we're going to go! We're going early and leaving early. I'll wear her. Can't wait!
