The woman killed here was the mother of a good friend of mine - who's also the sister of the shooter. I'm really struggling with the enormity of this, for her. We had talked about her brother before, and her concerns for him, and it is just so horrifying to see this. I'm really reeling.

I'm so sorry for your friend. That's such a tragic way to lose a parent. So tragic for the other victims too.
The article did not mention why he would do this and target his victims. Does his sister know or just had a feeling he may be violent?

@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: I don't know. I know that they had concerns about his mental health, but he wouldn't seek treatment on his own.

Man, Idaho and Moscow (and the internet?) sure is a small place. My dad's family is from Moscow. My grandpa was a UI professor, and I'm an alum. And....my good friend is dating the shooters sister.
Things like this really rock a community like moscow ya know? It's just so so sad. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.
