My son doesn't really play with the kitchen at all, but he's really into the accessories, like the microwave, toaster, cutting food.

eta: I thought he would love the kitchen because he always plays with it in playgroup or at daycare, but not at home, for some reason.

I would say they like the play food more than the kitchen. They mostly just like opening and closing the kitchen doors.

we got ours last christmas. how she uses it has definitely changed over time. it was more just doors and emptying to start, now she really plays pretend with all the items. DH taught her the word saute

it really is a long-lasting toy so that's nice. but we don't have the playing with it at daycare issue.

LO loves it. He plays with it occasionally. He's always making food and having fun with it. I think it was a great investment piece for him.

We don't have one yet but she loves playing with them at playschool. I think she likes the play food the most, especially cutting sets, she gets right into those and tells me that she's "cooking".

We were given one used from a lady from DH's hometown, we were planning on getting her a different one but hey it was free. It is huge and stays in our basement but she LOVES it anytime she goes down there to play. We just bought her a Little Tikes grill for upstairs that she cooks on daily to get her fix. She uses this thing for everything, her imagination is great with it.

We got one for Noelle at 2, but she didn't become too interested until she was 2.5-3. Now it gets daily play. J got interested in it much sooner because he sees her play with it so they play together!
