Now that C and I share a lot of meals, I feel very convicted about what I eat! My diet has been cleaned up a lot since he started solids, that's for sure. Was this true for you?

LO is 4 months & I'm already cleaning it up in anticipation of BLW!! & I'm so glad! It makes me feel great!

Not really-one of the big pulls to BLW for us was that what we ate would already work for her! She gets some of our food and purées currently. I can't wait for her to really get whole foods

Same as @blackbird: We already ate pretty healthy so I knew BLW would be pretty easy for us. It's been so great just being able to give DD whatever we're eating. Last night girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed her meal of ribeye, Brussels sprouts and squash.

I already ate pretty clean to start with but now I'm making even more of an effort since she wants a bite of everything I eat.

Now I just wait until he is napping or in bed before I eat something bad LOL so not really.... we usually eat healthy meals. I just have a sweet tooth and DS always wants what I have so i just save it for later....

Yes. It forced us to cut out a lot of processed foods we didn't want her having.

Yes. We eat healthy most of the time, but had a regular takeout habit BLW has helped us lose.

Yes! We are continually trying to clean our diets up for DS but its been a lot easier than I thought it would be when I think about the types of stuff I want him eating.

@heartonastring: I loved that pic you posted of her after dinner! Such a good eater!

LO is still on purees... I'm a little too nervous to give him table food just yet. But! I have been eating healthier in anticipation! I have developed pretty poor eating habits the past year, and I need to clean it up for him. Actually looking forward to having a reason to cook, rather than just being lazy and eating an eggo for dinner, haha.

@grizz: omg yes! Last night I rediscovered my love for butternut squash!

@Greentea: I wonder how butternut squash would do in the crock pot? My go-to has been making some kind of lean meat over a bed of veggies in the crock pot.

Yes! Just in terms of having family meals, I now cook everything we eat. And it's all the kind of healthy, whole foods that I want to model for her.
