Did gender impact how many LOs you wanted?

I'd like to have at least 3 kids, but up to five. Gender isn't really a factor. However, because I do have some trouble fertility wise, we may end up adopting the fourth or fifth child (we'd like to adopt at least one child either way, but how many kids we have biologically will affect how many we adopt).

I would be happy with three girls, but if I had two boys I might have really longed for a girl. We wouldn't have done anything special to get one, but it would have been a preference.

@DillonLion: I'm not in that position yet, but at this point I would say yes. We would try again for an opposite gender depending on the amount of children we already have/our financial position.
We want 3 or 4 kids. If we have 3 boys we would probably have another, but if the 4th was a boy... no we would not have another. Plus... 4 boys would be kind of fun! 4 girls however... lol.
Same goes for girls in that situation.

If our first two are the same gender, we won't try for a third. If first two are different, we will try for a third.

Kind of. I will have one of each when this baby is born but I really want DD to have a sister so am keen to try for a third. But, it depends on a lot to be honest.

I wanted more kids than my husband and that is still the case but we were done at 2 no matter what. Two boys would have been adorable but I did think about mourning my chance for a daughter and I think it's okay to mourn the idea of something. I wouldn't have been unhappy though and I would have loved a lot of kids even all same sex.
