I was able to borrow almost all of my maternity clothes last time, but this time, that's not an option. So it looks like I'll need to buy some this time around. I'm hoping I can score some 2nd hand

I had to buy every single piece of clothing... no one offered me anything Though I guess like me, a lot of people will want to keep clothes for subsequent pregnancies.

So far I've got a decent mix of the two... I bought some staples from Old Navy and Target, but I've gotten a lot from a friend, and my mom has been scavenging garage sales and thrift stores, so that's been a nice filler!

My sister has given me lots of clothes (she's done having kids) but they run very big on me, so I'll probably be buying more items as time goes on.

I bought everything. I have them saved in a space bag for a future pregnancy.

Both! I went through several pairs of purchased jeans, because they kept tearing, but the bulk of my shirts were hand me downs from DH's cousin.

I bought all of my clothes . . . I don't know if we'll have a second, but I kept them just in case.

I didn't have any clothes to borrow with my first pregnancy since I didn't actually know anyone who had been pregnant before. I bought all new clothes but limited myself to the basics and wore them all the time. With my second, I was able to borrow from my sister who was pregnant a year after me. Even though she is one size bigger (xsmall vs small), I can't fit into any of her shirts. I pretty much stick to wearing some basic pieces from my first pregnancy plus lots of dresses this summer.

I bought a bunch, but I also borrowed from my SIL because she JUST had a baby! Her tops fit me great, but I couldn't wear her pants, so I had to buy those.

I bought them all & saved them all for #2. Id only ever loan them to my sister. My best friend is bigger than me so I doubt they'd work for her anyway, but if it did, I'd loan them to her too.

My sister gave me some to wear but I mostly just wore my regular clothes, with a belly band.

i'm very short so it was hard for me to borrow any clothes--i spent a lot more than i wanted to on maternity clothes!

I bought everything (my SILs and I are not the same size/height) and none of my friends were recently pregnant.
As a result, I bought stuff I would be okay either lending or donating. I didn't invest in any high end stuff.

I have to dress very business professional, so I had to buy all my work clothes, casual clothes I borrowed from my sister who was pregnant a year before me. It worked out nice!

I lived on 5-6 articles of actual maternity clothing. The rest was empire waist dresses paired with leggings and boots. I lived in that through winter! And I had a winter coat that was big on me so I was able to zip up even in a 3rd tri bump!

Both. I bought a large portion of it, but I did borrow quite a few tops from a friend. Unfortunately, my legs are much longer than hers and I couldn't borrow her pants. I saved my clothes, but my husband's cousin is actually borrowing them now.

I borrowed a bunch, but I have also bought some pieces. A lot of my clothes I have to give back, and one friend lent some things that I can keep, but they aren't really my style so I'm not sure what I'll do with them.

I bought everything. All of the people I would have borrowed from were pregnant too!

I'll have to buy everything! I wish I could borrow but my one friend who is closest in size/height is due in November so the timing is off.

I saw this site a while ago, and I saved it for when I get KU. Its like a rent the runway, but just for maternity clothing.

A friend lent me a bunch of tops, but I bought all the bottoms and dresses.

I'll probably buy most of it. My friend offered (she doesn't even know I'm pregnant) but I don't think we have similar style, so not sure how much of her stuff I will want to wear.
My cousin has cute stuff, but I haven't told her I'm pregnant yet. If she offered I'd probably want to borrow some of her nice jeans and stuff!

I bought it all, but a lot of what I've worn is not maternity. I got a few pairs of pants for super cheap at h&m, and I wear a lot of size M or L maxi dresses from forever21.

When I was pregnant with DS, I borrowed from my (now ex) SIL. I gave them back, and since she's an ex-SIL that wasn't an option for S. So, last year when I was pregnant, I knew I'd be pregnant in the fall/winter, so I went to the clearance section of Kohl's and Targets maternity section and stocked up on winter preggo clothes. I'll be doing that again in a few weeks!

My sister gave me all her maternity clothes, I lucked out and spent less than $100 on additional clothes.
