My friend let us have their Fisher Price jumper after LO 1 was born but I gave it back when they had a whoops pregnancy later that year. It is now LO 3's favorite toy!
My cousin gave us tons of Legos and a small Lego table that my older girls play with almost every day.
I want to find a used Zany Zoo or something similar but I haven't had any luck yet.

Yes, gently used are awesome. I got an activity cube (similar to the zany zoo) dirt cheap off kijiji and he still plays with it at 3. We have lots of used books.

I am all about consignment sales and used as long as its gently used and something I can wipe down or disinfect.

Almost every toy and book we bring in the house is a hand me down or used. At Christmas my daughter asked me why the doll grandma gave her came in a box. Eek - I hope she doesn't catch on any time soon and start expecting new.

@Corduroy: lol that's so funny. My guy is 2 and besides maybe 4 toys that were baby registry gifts everything is used and handmedowns as well..

Yep most of DD's stuff are hand me downs or I find them used! I don't see a point in buying these things brand new for full price when I find so many used items that are in such great conditional for less than half the cost.

Some stuff I buy new (mostly cloth animals/ dolls), but anything that can be wiped or washed I love to buy used! Books are my favorite!

Yeah, we got a few big toys used (ride on car, jumper, activity cube). We don't buy big stuff ourselves because we don't have that much space, but it's harder to say no when someone's offering it for free

Yes! Lots from nieces/nephews but also willing to buy used.
I actually had a zany zoo but sold it because it just kept getting tipped over and in the way!

All but one of our outdoor toys are hand-me-downs from our neighbor. Almost all of our big baby toys (jumparoo/walker/activity table/etc.) and a lot of our infant toys are hand-me-downs from my sister. Gently used, free things from our friends are the best!

Every article of clothing for my son wears and every toy and book are hand me downs, save maybe 2 or 3 I got from my shower. I love re-using stuff and he doesn't mind

Lots of stuff is handed down or used off local facebook groups. But sometimes I buy stuff new... can't help myself.

Toooooons. Her toys and books and gear are maybe 30% gifts from the grandmas, 70% from Buy Nothing or hand-me-downs from friends. So far the only item of any kind I have purchased new for her has been a few summer rompers that were on clearance at ON that I couldn't resist.

Besides Buy Nothing, Goodwill is my favorite place for toys. However my LO is just as happy playing with Tupperware or a sieve, so we don't buy many toys.

Nothing really for hand me downs, my kids are the first grandchildren on both sides (so no cousins) and out of my close group of friends I was one of the first to have children. If I found a great used toy, I would buy but I don't have time to troll around garage sales and groups often enough to get an item (things go fast).

We have a mixture of new toys and hand-me-downs. The grandparents spoil our DS so much, that I can't remember the last toy we bought him!

His wooden Thomas tracks were handed down to him from my nephew. Some of the pieces are 15 years old! They have held up extremely well.
