We went to Toys R Us and my husband insisted on buying this for LO. My husband has major truck envy right now and insisted LO needed a truck.

Yes. He's so bad about it with our son. Baseball cards, video games, action figures. He says he's living vicariously though our son.

@petunia354: DH kept saying "B needs this, it's harsh." The kid already has a cozy coupe.

Omg he already has a cozy coupe?! That's crazy then....definitely more for your DH than for B. That's too funny. I bet you wanted to smack him

@petunia354: he put B in the truck and he looked so friggin cute... I couldn't say no. News bulletin- don't take son or husband to toys r us.

@littlek: I am totally lol'ing at your DH . . . living vicariously through B - LOVEIT!

@littlek: That truck IS pretty darn cute! I bet B looks adorable in it!
My husband can't wait until our babies (which still have 6 months of cooking, by the way!) can play with Legos. He always wants to look at the Lego aisle when we're at Target. I told him that Legos are YEARS down the line for our LOs, but he's still got to go check it all out. So I do worry about that eventually, haha.

I think he will end up doing so! He keeps wanting buy him a train set but I told him that he is still a tad young (based on how he plays with his cousins train set)
But DH is just so excited to build trains with
Him! Haha. Same with Legos- he cannot wait to do those but J doesn't have the fine motor skills for them yet.

I totally can't wait for this to happen! When my husband comes Christmas shopping with me he loves picking out the toys, especially for rough and tumble boys. Legos will never be scarce in our house- even when they are still a choking hazard.

Yes, hubby already bought DD mini hockey sticks. He has been shooting shooting the ball at my head ever since.

@littlek: Annnd, now I am singing this song in my head (Joe Diffie's Pickup Man)

@Lindsay05: hahahaha not hockey for us but baseball and soccer... LO has a tee ball stand and bat and DH was having "batting practice" with B...

@Mrs. Pen: We had to walk down the lego aisle too. Luckily we have a TON of duplos so DH had a hard time convincing me we need those.

Yes, my husband is totally guilty of this. He has justified several remote control contraptions (!?!) and a couple other random purchases by claiming that they're "for LO." I try to look at the upside: LO loves watching my husband play with "his" toys, and it keeps them both occupied and out of my hair for a while, so....

I swear our Rainbow Loom is for my daughter! (She's 7) and the lego my son just got for his 5th birthday ... it's for him, really

Oh totally. LO has quite the collection of "her own" comic books and several Captain America dolls.

Um. YES!!! Hubby recently bought a Supra. It's always been his dream car, but he said he'll hand it down to DS as his first car when he turns 16.... DS is currently 4 months old. Yea..... LOL!

HAHA no, but I think it would be different if we had a boy. I tend to be the one to buy stuff for DD that I think is cool

All.the.time! It's funny how disappointed he gets when something he gets ends up being not as cool at he thought.

@honeybear: DH told me the other day "B needs his own remote control."

@littlek: So it turns out that those harmless little RC cars are like gateway drugs. I feel like they're actually pretty good for fine motor skills/hand-eye coordination/spatial reasoning, so I went along with it. But inevitably the purchaser of said car turns around and says: "We really need a drone." And then something like this happens: http://ardrone2.parrot.com/
