We're having a girl, so it turns out we don't have to make a decision on this issue. However, we discussed it before we knew what we were having, and we decided that we would definitely circumcise. DH is circumcised, and I come from a Jewish heritage, even though I'm not currently practicing. DH and I both agreed that it felt right to both of us to circumcise.

In all honesty, I'm picky as one can be. If you're not circumcised, you can bet your bottom dollar I would not have slept with you. Obviously this means the hubs is, and thusly Cameron will be as well.

FH is not cut and we have no problems. If we have a boy, I will leave it up to him because I couldn't care less either way.
Not to make myself out to be a whore, but I've seen my share of the male penis and a cut and natural penis look the same when erect. However, I will say sex with a natural man feels better for some reason.
Also, it's sad reading the forums where men are pissed off at their parents for doing it and they are going through the process of regrowing their foreskin. I figure that if our future boy wants to do it, then he can do it himself. I don't think it's the same thing as piercing a little girls ears.

I left it up to Rob Sr. and he decided to have RJ circumcised. Since he himself is, and neither of us were experienced in keeping a foreskin clean to prevent infection, we figured it would be better to just make him look like daddy and not introduce another complication and area to clean Also, I was prone to UTIs as an adolescent and I wouldn't want him subjected to that... unbelievable pain!!!
They took him away to do it and when they brought him back about 30 mins later he was completely asleep. In about a week or two he was healed. BUT they left what the urologist called a "generous ring of foreskin" SO he pretty much looks uncircumcised anyway...!!! And we have to peel it back every day and clean the area. Do y'all know what smegma is? Yep, it's a real word.... blech. I guess in the end it doesn't really matter. I worry sometimes about re-attachment and problems with erections in the future, but what can you do...
I would never, ever be able to think about a male any older than a few days or weeks old going through a circumcision.

Yes, we are planning on it- I left it up to my husband for the final decision. We've already talked with our pediatrician about it.

I don't really care but DH is circumcised and would want his son to be as well.

If we have a son I think he will be circumcised because that is what my husband wants. If it were completely up to me I don't think I would have it done because I am nervous about taking care of the wound afterwards.
