I'm an artist so crafting is fun for me, even if i don't have much time to do it. But when came time to decorate Mavrick's room, I DIYed seeing I was on a budget.
I made Ceiling Poms, Clothes dividers, lamp shade, graphic posters/wall art and pinwheels. I will also be DIYing for bebe girl (details coming soon)

I'm all about diy. I did a huge canvas with lyrics from bye bye birdie's "everything is rosie" since lo is named rose. I painted a lot of piggy pictures in college that we used in her room. And I made her a piggy mobile. I'm sure there's more but I don't remember.

We didn't do a nursery! LO's room is pretty empty--just her dresser and floor bed!

Seriously though, we only plan on staying in our apartment for another 6-8 months, so we are holding off on a lot of the nursery things. Once we move into our house, then I plan to go DIY and painting crazy!

Yes! All DS's bedding (sheets, bed skirt, changing table pad covers, etc), a mobile of handmade stuffed animals that we never used, wall decor, clothing hooks, a cross stitch sampler with his birth stats, letters for above his bed. I'm sure there is other stuff but I can't thinking

I wish I would have had the time to do more...all we did was 4 small canvases of sleeping animals and an alphabet in all different fonts on the wall.
Since we were team green, I couldn't really personalize too much, oh well!

@looch: All my DIY projects for Mavricks room were "neutral" so they would of fit for a "team green" but maybe you'll have time for baby 2!

Little miss' nursery is still a work in progress but so far I've DIY'd her crib sheets, crib skirt, pillows, curtains, refinished her dresser, reupholstered and painted a glider and made my own pouf ottoman. I still plan to DIY some accessories like a bunting, name or initials for the walls, change pad covers and I think that's it!
Don't be afraid of your sewing machine!! I was a total newbie with mine (my Nana's vintage machine from '64) I had to teach myself right down to threading the silly thing and am sooo glad I did!

I'm in the process of putting my LO's nursery together. Right now I'm in the middle of a sewing a quilt and a few cushion covers and crocheting another blanket. I have some fabric coming in for a crib sheet and changing pad cover. I'm hoping to paint a couple of pictures as well, but that depends on how quickly I get through my other projects (baby is due at the end of May).

I made a bunch of stuff, but also repurposed a bunch of old antique store/thrift store finds as well.
DIY:
Crib skirt
Crib bumper
Bumper bows
Tissue flower pom chandelier (above crib)
White afghan on rocking chair
Lamp shade
Flag banner
Curtains
Wall decor (cut out old vintage pillow cases and used the fabric in old cross-stitch hoops)
I repurposed:
An old rocking chair
An old foot stool (painted, new cushion)
A BUNCH of old frames from thrift stores (painted/glazed)
A chandelier (new paint job)
Wall decor (spray paint, my best friend)
A huge antique mirror
That's all I can think of for now!
Oh, hubby is in the middle of making book shelves for the room, so that's another DIY but the credit goes to him!

-Changing pad cover (although didn't love it and bought a couple yesterday, it is a fairly easy project

-Dirty Clothes Bag (to be made this weekend!)
-Mr. H painted an old table to match nursery
-Mr. H painted an old shelf to match nursery
I wish I was craftier/artsier/a better sewer, but I do love that I've had my hands on so many different things for the nursery...it's been fun and I've learned a lot about what I am/am not capable of! I'm not a great sewer but I can at least do the basics
