When I nursed, I felt thirsty all the time so it was easy to drink a lot of water! Now that I am pregnant, I have a real hard time with drinking 8+ glasses of water a day!
Did you drink more water while you were pregnant or nursing?

I drank water constantly while pregnant, but I'm rarely thirsty now that I'm nursing. Though, now I'm always starving whereas I didn't really have an appetite while pregnant.

I drank more while I was pregnant. I really need to drink more now, I can tell when I pump that I'm not drinking nearly enough.

I was way better at drinking water when I was pregnant, since I kept a water bottle at my desk all day. Now that I'm back at work I'm doing better again! But during maternity leave I was definitely not drinking as much as I should.

Nursing, definitely. I get hit with an intense wave of thirst whenever I let down, so I keep a Nalgene bottle next to me and just start guzzling. I drank a lot when I was pregnant, too, but I struggled with it.

I am SO thirsty now that I'm nursing. I'm also way more hungry than I ever was when I was pregnant and I'm doing far less exercise now which is weird.

@Orvis18: Oh god, I'm hungry all the time! I'm pretty sure if I let myself I could eat an entire large pizza by myself...in one sitting.

Yes I was very thirsty during pregnancy and now that I am nursing I am still quite thirsty. Not as badly as the first few weeks after the baby was born

Im drinking more only because the doctors told me to. I never ever get thirsty so I have to force myself to drink.

I try but I know I'm not getting enough while I'm nursing or while I was pregnant.

Pregnant--I drank a ton. I'm constantly thirsty now and probably dehydrated, but too tired to constantly keep my water bottle full!

I drink way more water while pregnant than not! I am not usually a good water drinker (I don't tend to get thirsty often) but have make a conscious effort to drink more during pregnancy. I definitely have days when I don't drink as much water as I know I should-- I am much better about my water at work than I am at home on the weekends.

Currently pregnant and I'm ALWAYS thirsty! Plus if I don't drink water regularly, I get crampy.

I made it a point to drink plenty of water while the baby was baking, but once he was out, I remember only peeing once or twice a day, and I attributed that to nursing, but then people were telling me it was because I was dehydrated! =P

@autumnlove: I'm the exact opposite! I drank TONS of wanter when pregnant. Now that I'm nursing I am ALWAYS dying of thirst when I nurse, but don't have a hand for water and when I finish I totally forget! This is something I have been struggling with lately. I never have had to see yellow pee and now it's yellow all the time I even drank more before I was pregnant...I'm not sure what my deal is.

I do not nurse and I have been far more thirsty postpartum than I was pregnant.

Nursing. When I was pregnant, I never felt thirsty and had to push myself to drink water. Now I'm thirsty all the time!
