If so when? If not then how did you do it in the last few weeks?

Gave it up around 36 weeks, when everything hurt too much to even bother.

First time around I kept up on it but that's because I could see what was going on, this time I can't see a darn thing so I gave up. Meh, owell!
ETA: Around 32 weeks.

I gave up before I got pregnant... However, I did take care of business last weekend.

I give up around mid 2nd trimester when I can't see anything anymore. But I've had several sessions of laser hair removal in that area so it's not bad.

I kept it up to the end last time, and I'll try to do it again this time (7 more weeks). I might miss some patches because I can't see, but it makes me feel so much better knowing it's been taken care of.

I just trim so nothing extreme but eventually I just couldn't see well enough to do it. so I let it go natural for a while, but in the end I made DH trim it for me because I didn't want it a mess for labor! silly because labor is a mess regardless and no one cares but it was something that made me feel better to have it done. it was embarrassing for DH to do it, but pregnancy is full of weird things like that.

@bhbee: My mom says she had my dad shave her legs for the last couple weeks with me! DH is already prepared to step in on these things if needed.

I can't stand to have body hair so once I couldn't do it myself somewhere around 30 weeks I start making DH do it once a week. I'm 39+7 today and made DH do it last night.

I have a friend who got a full Brazilian right before giving birth (as in a few days). She said it actually was nice postpartum to not have any extra "business" going on down there, because of all the other recovery stuff happening.

I kept it up til the bitter end...I wasn't able to see anything down there about half way through. Since there was gonna be a crowd down there figured I'd keep it in order.

I kept it up last pregnancy until the end, and still doing it at 27 weeks.

I've been working on keeping it up. This thing is a lifesaver. I figured between the trimmer, a waterproof mirror, and 4 minutes of effort, they get what they get and that's all the effort I'm putting into it. You gals with helpful SOs are lucky (and braver than I). I can't imagine letting him get to work down there with a blade, I'd be scared to shave his face! Eep!

Meh. I wasn't getting laid anyway, so why groom? hahaha
Although, I will admit that I got busy down there with a hand mirror and a weedwhacker once the cervical checks started. Had to at least make it look tidy before someone else saw it.

I don't do much to it anyway, and gave up entirely once I was in the mid-20 weeks. I eventually gave up shaving my legs, too, since it was hard to reach all around and I was afraid of slipping in the tub. I think the hospital where I delivered is used to crunchy mamas, though -- nobody batted an eye and I wouldn't have cared if they did.

I kept it up right up until delivery. But I wasn't going near there postpartum with a recovering 2nd degree tear.

I gave up at about 37 weeks. At that point sex was so uncomfortable I just didn't care. Plus, I refuse to shave pp until stitches are gone. DH refuses to have sex until 6 weeks anyway, so I'm just counting down the days
I am thinking about a pp Brazilian though...can't be worse than childbirth, right? Plus I still have the pain meds

Um, I almost never groom "down there" in the first place (I trim once in awhile, but I never shave/wax-- I don't even shave my legs or armpits! Yay for non-hairy genes) so I am strutting around with a big ol' bush for all to see.

I kept it up til about 36-37 weeks & delivered at 39 wks, so it wasn't *terrible* down there... Just couldn't do it anymore !

I was embarrassed to, but I asked DH to help me in that area towards the end last time!
