I didn't. I was old for my grade and was the first to drive, first to turn 18, 21, etc. among my friends.
I lent my ID to my friend's lil sister once and got busted by our youth group coordinator for letting her go clubbing! :X

I had a really really bad one for the first semester of my senior year of college before I turned 21 (in Dec.). Somehow it helped get me into bars, but I think that's more because my friend knew all the bouncers. But we mainly went to college parties in dorms.

Yes, but it only worked at Chinese restaurants (scorpion bowls!) and a couple shady bars near campus. One bouncer even looked at it, laughed, and said 'go ahead'

Yep! I have always been the youngest of my friends by far so it really segregated me out of the group when everyone turned 21 and I was still like 19. So, I used a fake ID at that point

Yep, and I only used it once to get into a bar downtown. The worst part was that on my 19th birthday I went to the liquor store to buy my first legal bottle and the attendant didn't even ask me for ID!! All this time waiting and they didn't even check.

Nope. I had plenty of older friends that bought booze for us. I didn't try to go to any 21+ clubs til I was older anyway.

Yep! It was the lost ID of another random Asian girl (though I don't think we really looked alike) and she was 27. I used it in college and was always terrified! What was a 27 yr old doing clubbing with the college kids?! Haha

No, I have never had a drink and the non alcoholic clubs around here let you in when you're 18 so I had no reason to.

Haha, yes! I had a terrible one my friend made in high school that was about half an inch thick - and a slightly better one in college that actually worked! But we also used to slip bouncers money, so that probably helped... So funny...

Yup. At my first college, I had one that said I was 18 because I couldn't get into the 18 and over clubs! My birthday is in November.
I had lots when I went to Salisbury. I was a member of the rugby club and we drank..... a lot. I was always using someone's id, someone's sister's id, etc because I was always the youngest of all of my friends.

Sadly, yes. I was super young when I started my job internship, but they were all about taking us out to these different networking events, and the interns loved going to happy hour. I felt left out. Ha.

@mrsjyw: Same. I was always the oldest one, so it was me who bought the booze for everyone else who was still underage, lol.

I went to college at 16 so having one was a must!
The first was a handmade one, then I came across a real one that had been lost by someone that looked like me.

I borrowed a friend's, but usually would just go to hole in the wall bars and never get carded!

I used my sister's one time to get into an 18 and over club; I was about a month away from turning 18, so it wasn't a big deal.

Haha, yes and it was SO ghetto! My roommate in college had tri-citizenship (British, Greek and Zimbabwean) and gave me her EXPIRED Zimbabwean passport with a black and white photo of her from when she was 14 and the identification information was HAND-WRITTEN. But it worked like a charm because who ever has a fake passport??

Never had one but after I was legal I did have to use my older sister's ID because I forgot mine.

Yeah, in college! We went to such great lengths to make a New Jersey license because at the time, they were the only license that didn't have a real hologram -- you could replicate it with just the right kind of paint. OMG we bought a laminating machine and everything. That sucker worked everywhere, although I mainly used it at our college bar -where a guy I know once got in because the bouncer appreciated his creativity in creating a fake ID from a napkin and a pen -- and the liquor store in our college town, which would sell to pretty much anybody. But I did use it at bars in Chicago and it worked!

I had an older friend's ID for a few years, but was too scared to actually try and use it!
