Not quite that big, but I had the poofy bangs and a perm at one point. I remember my aunt styling this for me with a lot of hairspray and a hair pick.

@chopsuey: oh yes it does! My mom is 100% Korean and she achieved that glorious look with a perm and lots of teasing. When my baby sister was little she called it mommy's "big hair".

Every time I blow dry my hair straight, it ends up with volume to rival this picture. I always say my hair would have had it's shining moment in the 80's. However, having been born in 85, I'm glad to say I missed this trend.

Lol! I rocked some TERRIBLE bangs as a kid, but never had a perm. My younger sister did but it never got this large. My mom definitely had this look for a while, though!

Haha no, I had such straight fine hair it would never get "big" I did have wavy bangs though that I used a bottle of hair spray and direct blow dryer heat to get

Yes, we have a horrible family picture where my aunt and. Cousin did this to everyone's hair. It wasn't permed but I have curly hair so they were able to fluff it up. (Hangs my head in shame)
