I'm pregnant with #2 right now and my weight gain is much slower this time around.

I gained 29 with my 1st. I'm hoping I gain no more than 35 with my 2nd. But this pregnancy is quite different from the 1st, so who knows what will happen.
@Dandelion: Only 10lbs?! Wow! I've gained almost that much already and I'm only 18 weeks.

@lamariniere: I had weight to lose, and I ate healthier when pregnant than I normally do. S was 10 pounds, too, so I was below my prepreg weight walking out of the hospital.

I'm also hoping I don't gain so much with #2, but I probably will. I didn't exactly go nuts while pregnant (and if you want to get all crazy with numbers, I only gained 30% of my body weight, which was fine to begin with...). I don't think it'll come off as easy with #2 or #3, though. Not that it's coming off easy...but I have more time to sweat it off

@blackbird: I gained almost 50% :S. yikes!!! I was pretty swollen though. In the first 2 weeks I lost 40-50 lbs!

Dude that's insane! Considering how MUCH fell off so fast, you at least know most of it's water! I really don't think there is anything you can do about water retention. About half of mine fell off super fast, too, and was all water weight.

I gained less with #2, but I was still holding on to 10lbs from my first pregnancy.

I gained pretty much the same amount. I should've gained a bit less, probably though... It was harder shedding it off pp

33 with my first and 15 with my second. I had GD so I was forced to eat better.

I'm in track to gain 10-15lbs less with #2. But I got pregnant 6 months pp and didn't come close to getting to prebaby weight so ill end up heavier

I think I'll end up gaining a couple lbs more this time. I exercised a lot more with LO#1. I am roasting my non-existent balls off here so exercise hasn't been at the top of my to do list right now and it's a bit more tricky with LO. I try to get in swims and a few runs a week still but I just am not going to run in 100 degree weather at 6 months pregnant.

@blackbird: I know!! My rings stopped fitting at 20 weeks. But now they still don't fit so I definitely gained some fat. Hopefully next time I don't retain so much water though, that'll definitely help!

I've lost weight with this pregnancy. With my first I gained 26 pounds. I'm overweight though this time so that plays a role.

I gained over 80 lbs. with my first pregnancy and it wasn't water weight either. Only lost about 25 lbs. between pregnancies and then lost 10 lbs. and slowly regained it with my second pregnancy. So no, I didn't gain as much with the second pregnancy! I'm now 22 weeks with my 3rd pregnancy and have gained 13 lbs. so far. Not as good as last time, but definitely not as bad as the first time where it seemed like I gained 5 lbs. every time I stepped on the scales.

So far I have gained less than my last pregnancy. I gained 26 total last time.....we will see where I end up with this one!
