we always had an egg hunt and got baskets from church so my parents never made us one.

Yes. Even now, at 32 and living in a different country, my mom sent us a box! lol Love it though

Nope. I always wanted to win one during school lunches though! They put a sticker under two trays and if you had a stickered tray, you win the basket!

My dad is not really religious so my mom would take us to church, then afterwards we would have an easter egg hunt in our backyard. The easter bunny (aka dad) would hide the eggs while we were at church. My brothers and I would search for all the eggs and chocolates and whatnot, then we would dump everything out on the living room floor and make sure it was divided evenly.

I still get baskets! My mom loves to make them for us, still.
Also, not only does ds get one from Easter bunny, but we give one to our niece, and my SIL gives one to ds, and my mom gives one to all of us, so there's lots of basket exchanging in our family.
Plus, my MIL loves to give us Easter goodies, too, lol.

Nope, however we were taught that Easter was not about bunnies and eggs. We were to learn the true meaning of Easter, Christian family.

We got baskets every year with my mom hiding them and saying hot and cold as we tried to find them! Even in college! But my sister is 6 years younger than me, so we did it to make sure she had it all growing up too!

We don't really get easter baskets in the UK, just a ton of Easter Eggs (big chocolate egg in a cardboard box, along a few chocolate bars or sweets inside when you crack it open). I rarely see them in Canada but my fave back home were Cadbury Buttons, Smarties and Milky Bar Buttons eggs, yum!

Yes. Easter was the one time of the year when we would get bubble gum.

Yes! Two! The Easter bunny visited us at both my parents and my grandparents house! Easter was always a big deal... My DH couldn't believe that we still had baskets and egg hunts when he first came on the scene (our late teens/early twenties!)

Yep! My husband keeps bugging me to make him one this year, lol. He loves candy.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: @katiew92081: @rachiecakes: I still get an Easter basket too! DH was so confused to get his first Easter basket after we got married... at age 26

@grizz: I know right! My dh is always like, "uh, you need to tell your mom to stop!" But I'm just like, "heck no!! " Yes I want my own child, but that doesn't mean I stop being my mom's child

@travelgirl1: your post reminded me of the "limit of 16 eggs" sign they have by the Easter eggs in Tesco at the moment. I know someone could be buying them to give out at work... But the thought of the average person shoving 16 into their trolley at once makes me laugh!

@mrskc: hahaha MIL did an egg hunt for DH and I the past few years; she's so excited to have DS be a part of it now

@birdofafeather: My parents did this, too! I loved it. The hiding spaces got increasingly harder the older we got (in the attic, out in the shed, etc.). I can't wait to be able to do this with DS!

Yes. We still get them! Filled with sees candies and lots of other Easter goodies. And we also still have an Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately I can't attend so I'm really hoping people throw me some eggs over the fence!
