My parents labeled us...I was the creative one and my brother was the smart one!
I don't want to label my kids...at least not out loud!

Well all of my siblings were "bad apples" (seriously--drop-outs, drugs, gangs, rehabs, jail...) so by default I was "the good one". Wasn't hard, though...I was the only one of seven to even graduate high school!

Not out loud...I'm sure in their heads they called us "The Genius", "The rebellious ADD creative type" and "most likely to succeed"...I'm the middle child.

Hm not really. At least not until we were adults. Then my brother became a never-gonna-grow up-guy and I ended up being the responsible/successful one.

not aloud they didn't. but it was pretty obvious, so it didn't really need explaining. now my mother talks about me being her spirited, willful child, she likes to tell me thing things that made me the most difficult to parent are the things she loves most about me as a person- AKA i was a pain the ass, but she respects it and i love her more for acknowledging it.

I was the "smart" one and my sister was the "cute" one. As you can imagine it did nothing for either of our self-esteems. (Plus, my sister is exceptionally smart.)

Sort of. My older brother was very shy so my parents labelled me as the "outgoing" one, which wasn't true at all. They made me go and sit with our guests and speak in my broken Korean while my brother got to stay in his room because he was "shy". To this day, I will refuse to make small talk or mingle with people I don't know well. Like, I will literally go and hide in my car or something (ie. cocktail hour at a wedding). I really hated it.

Well my sister was the "smart" one- valedictorian of her high school class. I didn't really get labeled, but I was supposedly the "bad" one because my mom thought I was rebellious. I never did drugs, smoked, or drank (well I didn't drink until I was 20...like at all). The only "bad" thing I did was sleep with my boyfriend at age 17 and he is now my husband (my mom called me a "teenage whore" for that one).

I was the outgoing and creative one.
My brother was the smart soccer player.
My sister was the smart soccer player, too.
I also got straight A's but I was quick to be labeled outgoing and creative. Hrmph!

Nope, I was never labeled. My brother was the naturally smart one. My sister and I were smart, but we had to work for our grades. I think he got the only label.

The only real label they gave was that I'm much more talkative than my brother and that's a fact so no one was hurt/upset by that.

I was the "little helper" because I'm the oldest and only girl so I took on the role of helping care for younger siblings.
