I'm 31+4 and exploring the details about my upcoming maternity leave. There's no reason to assume as of now my delivery will be anything but normal, but I'm of course looking into all options. I always assumed that I would get 6 weeks maternity leave for a vaginal delivery or 8 weeks for a c-section. That was the one silver lining I saw about having a c-section (I've never had surgery so it scares me a bit.) When I talked to my HR rep about my maternity leave, she said that I will get 6 weeks for vaginal and "most c-sections." It sounds like I get pretty much 6 weeks no matter what What was your maternity leave policy like- was it clear cut for vaginal vs c-section? Did it depend on what your doctor "ordered" for your leave?
