If so, how many DPO would you estimate?
Also interested in hearing from ppl who didn't!

They were never sore in my first pregnancy. This time around they've been very sore since 5-6 weeks.

Never with either pregnancy. My first OB said that would be one of the first signs so when it wasn't happening it made me nervous, everyone is different!

Mine haven't been too sore...they are really sensitive though to the touch (mainly the nipples). My boobs are small though, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.

At 5 weeks both times (first was a miscarriage) - the first time just sore nipples the second time felt like bruises all along my brests.

I got a BFP on 13 DPO (4 weeks pregnant). Breasts did not get sore, swollen, or feel different until well into my 6-8th week of pregnancy.

I think my breasts started getting sore around week 6 or 7. I had no symptoms before where AF would have started. My first symptom was slight nausea starting week 5, but it was so minor I chalked it up to something else before I got my BFP.

Much more sore during my first pregnancy. Sore this time around, but I think they are somewhat de-sensitized from all the abuse associated with breasfeeding.

It was my first sign! Around 10dpo my breasts felt very full and slightly tender when I touched them. I waited to test until 12dpo and got my BFP.
nectarine / 2834 posts
My first BFP I had sore boobs at 12dpo when I tested. But they got really sore around 7-8 weeks.
My second BFP they never really got sore but I would feel them "fill" a few times a day at about 15-20dpo - I didn't test til 20 dpo because i had some spotting and figured my period was on its way. They started to get sore about 6 weeks pregnant (but then I miscarried).

I sure did! that was one of the first signs I knew I was pregnant because I had never had that happen before. I would guess it probably started 10-13 DPO and progressively got more sore/sensitive as the weeks passed. Then the soreness went away when I was about 14 weeks along.

Yes, both times. Sore breasts actually lasted my entire pregnancy x 2!

Mine never got sore - actually more than anything they started getting itchy around 7 weeks for about a month.

Mine didn't get sore until a lot later in the first trimester, like maybe 12 weeks or so
pomelo / 5220 posts
Mine were noticeably sore maybe around 6-8 DPO. I remember commenting on it to my friend and she said "you know that's a sign of pregnancy right?" but I kind of chalked it up to PMS as well. They still hurt, 11 weeks later!
pomelo / 5720 posts
First time, yes. The last two times (one ended in miscarriage) I had sore nipples only.

It was my first sign and started around 5 weeks. It didn't continue through pregnancy though.

Oh yeah and they were sore the whole pregnancy.
Probably around 5 to 6 weeks it started.

I don't remember it being a big deal! I didn't really notice them til much later and even then they weren't THAT sore.

It was my first sign. I thought it was horrible PMS at first but I'm not sure about DPO... It was before my period was due though.

I didn't get sore or enlarged breasts until 8-9 weeks pregnant. I was a little worried it took so long but my RE assured me that sore breasts are not a requirement in pregnancy.

@pinkcupcake: TBH, I don't remember any symptoms until after I got my BFP.
Have you tested?
kiwi / 568 posts
Yes, my sore boobs were my first symptom that I got before I got my bfp. I think I was 12 dpo.
pineapple / 12526 posts
Yes, it was my first sign. I was 9-10 DPO, BFP at 10 DPO. My boobs grew 2 cups in the 2 weeks following!

I am 4 weeks 1 day and they started to hurt on Monday. Not major, just if there is any pressure on them.
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
Interesting! It sounds like the answers are all over the spectrum.
@littlek: No, I haven't tested yet, but I'm not expecting my period until next Thursday. Couldn't remember how I felt during my last pregnancy; it's all such a blur now. My boobs are completely pain-free right now so I was wondering if that meant I'm out this cycle...

They started getting sore around 12 dpo (but they always got sore before AF came) and never stopped. I'm 15 weeks today and they are still kind of sore! I got my BFP at 14dpo.
nectarine / 2220 posts
I typically get sore breasts as for a few days a PMS symptom, but when I was pregnant, it started about two days sooner than it usually would and was much more intense. So, maybe 9dpo?
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
I got sore breasts about 8-9 DPO and it lasted until around 8 or 9 weeks. With this second pregnancy, I never had the same soreness but that may be due to the fact I was breast feeding.

It was one of my very first signs that prompted me to take a test. I was about 12 DPO and they also got bigger out of nowhere
eggplant / 11408 posts
Yes! But before that, my biggest symptom was the veins in my breasts were GIGANTIC. Like seriously huge. It was only 3-4 DPO, when I know that symptoms should not be possible. But I promise, they were Crayola-marker blue each time I got a BFP.

I got sore breasts super early before my BFP at 10 DPO. I should have known better at that point, but didn't test until 4-5 days later. I remember it was a weekend like Saturday where they hurt really bad, but didn't test until Wednesday night to a positive.
