Obviously I would have been excited, thrilled, happy, etc. with a boy or a girl. I didn't care, I just wanted a baby. But I did know that if I didn't get a girl this time, I'd want one eventually.
I love all things pink and girly, I love ballet and theater, and I can't wait for tea parties and dress up. I know some of these things could be done with boys too, but I just felt like I was meant to have a girl. And I did!

I kinda feel like you I wanted a girl at some point but would have been happy with a boy first. I am happy I got my girl first!

Like you, of course I would have been thrilled to have a boy first but I'm super happy that my first was a girl. I always wanted a little girl eventually!

we had genetic testing done and were told charlie was a girl (that was not my regular ob). so for weeks we thought we were having a girl. at my 16 week scan, turned out that he was a boy! but even though i've always wanted a girl, i can honestly say that i wasn't disappointed at all at the time. that actually surprised me.
i'm glad with the way things worked out. but even if we had two boys, we'd be done!

I wanted a girl ... and when they told me the first time around we were having a boy I was surprised too. can i just say I love having a boy. But I had my fingers and toes crossed for a girl the second time around and DH did a great job! I got both now

I always wanted a little girl...I think bc my mom and I are close and I want to have that too. Of course we also would love to have a little boy but I was so so happy LO was a girl. My husband didn't care either way but said he was relieved LO was a girl so I wouldn't be stressing out to have a girl for #2

Initially I thought I wanted a girl - like you I'm all girl, pink, frilly, manicures, makeup, etc I was always thinking of all the fun things I'd do with a baby girl! I thought for sure I was having a girl
I was soo surprised and shocked at my 20 week U/S that it was a boy and to be perfectly honest, I was a little disappointed for quite awhile.
But it definitely grew on me... and all of a sudden I didn't even want a girl at all and I was RELIEVED I was having a boy. All I had to do was watch my uber-dramatic little sister start crying because she didn't get her way (she's such a diva) and realize that I truly am not ready for that drama and emotion right now! I think at this time in my life, I am more apt to handle the velocity of a little boy instead. although as it is, LO is turning out to be surprisingly mellow and calm.
Anyhow, I didn't think I wanted a girl at all anymore, and wanted a boy next. But hearing my mom say how much she loves having her daughters as her best friends now made me sentimental and I know that eventually I will want a girl.
But if I do only have boys, I will be truly happy

I think I would have been happy with either (it's our first) but if anything has a slight preference for a boy. Having a girl, and now totally happy and excited about having a girl!

DH is one of 3 boys so I'd pretty much accepted I'd have all boys. I'd have loved a girl, but knew it was a small chance, so I didn't get too excited about the possibility. But secretly I wanted a little girl!
Well - I was SHOCKED to find out we are having a girl! I'm so beyond excited, although I do hope I get a boy at some point!

I thought I wanted a boy first, but when we found out it was a girl, I immediately squealed with excitement! It wasn't long before I realized the main reason I wanted the boy first was because that's what DH wanted, but I had secretly wanted a girl the whole time. Ideally, we'd like one of each

I originally wanted a boy because I'm not into pink or frilly things. When I found out we were having a girl (although I already had a strong suspicion we were) I was a little bummed. A couple days later, I warmed up to the idea and now I can't ever believe I wasn't excited about a girl! I love having a daughter now and even all things pink and girly. In fact, I wouldn't mind if baby 2.0 was a girl too!

I really did not have a preference, but I was positive we were having a boy. When we found out our LO was a girl, I was shocked! It took me a little while to get used to the idea, since I was SO sure she was going to be a boy! Now I am so glad we had a girl and if we go for #2, I am kind of hoping for another girl. I like the idea of sisters (and I'd get to use the other girl name we were considering).

I was actually happy with either gender, deep down I think I wanted a little girl just to pick out all the fun clothes, but I did want to give my dad his first grandson. I'm hoping next round we get a boy so we can make that come true!

I was good with either, but since EVERYONE guessed boy, it made me want a little girl just for fun :o) I'm super excited that we have a little girl on the way :o)
